a message from our president
Remember last year when I said that I couldn't wait to write this year's letter? I just knew that we'd have an amazing year and we did!
As you will expect to hear, a recap of 2009 looks something like this:
We gained over 150 members, had a dozen events all over the country, rolled out a promising educational tract that included webinars, speakers and written resources, made valuable contacts, expanded the Board of Directors, gained some additional traction with credibility and overall had a heck of a lot of fun...with the pictures to prove it!
Also, as expected, we continue to look to the future. 2010 finds your Board with a year's worth of experience under their wings, an expanded educational program with offerings that include professional as well as personal development opportunities in the form of webinars, more written resources and in-person events, we will be having events in every region this year spread out so that the potential to attend many of them is there, we plan to gain many more members (thus increasing your network!) and, of course, have even more fun than last year!
But the best accomplishment this past year was the members. Hearing from you, meeting you, enjoying events and speakers with you made the efforts of all the Board members more than worthwhile. We hear that you find this a valuable organization to you. We have supremely enjoyed meeting many of you personally. And we have appreciated your membership. Without you, there is no WWLF. So, thank you for your support and membership this year. It sounds clichéd, but we truly could not have done this without each and every one of you.
So, stay tuned for 2010. We are ready to roll and we know you will enjoy the ride!
