Happy New Year! 2011 was an amazing year for WWLF and one that will surely go down in history. I'd be remiss if I didn't extend a hearty thanks to our outgoing President, Patti Ringo, for her dedication to this fine organization. Without her vision and motivation, we wouldn't have the foundation in place to hit the ground running in 2012. Thank you, Patti! You took the ordinary and made it extraordinary.
2012 brings not only an opportunity to reflect on past successes but also an opportunity to initiate change. WWLF has planned a few changes to implement this year; changes intended to improve the member experience. Below are some of the changes planned for this year:
- New Executive Leadership Team and Executive Directors - Although you'll see some familiar names, roles/responsibilities have been redefined to accommodate continued growth of the organization. Letters of Appointment are being issued as we speak and you'll get an opportunity to learn more about these individuals in future editions of the newsletter.
- New Events Structure - Our goal for this year is to drive events down to the City Level. As a result, we've scrapped the previous Regional Structure for something more conducive to delivering events at the level where our members live, work and play.
- More Opportunity for Member Involvement - If you've ever considered taking a more active role within our organization, the new events structure may be just the opportunity you've been looking for! We'll be posting the new structure on our website within the next two weeks. I invite you to check it out and contact us if interested in supporting our roll out of this new initiative. Also, our Executive Directors of Education, Events, Ways & Means and Membership won't turn down your assistance. Once announced, give those individuals a call to discuss their goals for the year and ways to integrate your help.
- More value for our Sponsors - Sponsors are key to our success and we intend to give them the highest value possible. New levels of sponsorship are available as well as opportunities to support Fellowship Winners, Educational Events, PCIA/CTIA Networking Events and now activities at the City level.
- 2012 Education Series is open for registration! Member feedback indicated that you'd like as much notice as possible to place webinars on your calendar. We recently emailed the 2012 schedule with active links for registration. Don't procrastinate - place these free sessions on your calendar now.
During this year of change, we are committed to exploring new and exciting ways to make WWLF a stronger resource for you. Please feel free to let me know how we can better serve you.
