An interview by Nicole Andrepont, WWLF Executive Director of Industry Relations

What is your role?

Site Acquisition at Precept Wireless Consultants

Where do you reside?

San Diego, CA

How did you get into the wireless industry?

A good friend of mine who has been in the wireless industry for several years had mentioned several times that she thought I would be a good fit in telecom. When her company was awarded the Cricket work in San Diego, I decided to jump from my current, stable career in commercial real estate marketing and take a leap of faith in a new industry. It was a risky decision, but one that I am so grateful I made.

How long have you been in the industry and what has your career path been?

I've mainly done leasing/site acquisition since I began in the industry 6 years ago. I've ventured into management and zoning as well, which has been interesting and has, in my opinion, only increased my knowledge & skillfulness on the leasing side of things.

What valuable piece of wisdom have you learned from the wireless industry that you can share with our members that might help them in their career or personal lives?

Never burn a bridge. Your admin on one project may be in management on the next.

What do you hope to gain by being a new member of WWLF?

I am looking forward to networking to meet and especially learn from other women in the industry.

How does it feel to be the WWLF Fellowship Award Recipient?

I feel honored to have been chosen for this award. I also am very excited for the opportunities that may unfold as a result of this honor.

What are your other hobbies and interests outside of work?

My love is spending time with family, friends & our dog Cysco, but I also really love to travel. There is so much to see and experience. My husband, Mark, and I do whatever we can to get out & do that as much as possible. We also spend a lot of our free time working on our house. We bought a 1920s Spanish Revival home in a quaint neighborhood called, believe it or not, South Park (south edge of Balboa Park) about 4 years ago. We spend a significant amount of time on our little house, doing what we can to restore and preserve it's charm & character. Enjoying life as much as possible.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

I guess it really just depends on what opportunities present themselves between now and then. I would love to still be in the industry, perhaps learning another facet.
