President's Letter

I can't wait to write next year's letter.

I know that may seem like an unconventional way to start out this letter, seeing as how I have had this position for less than 60 days. But if you could see what I see, you would know why I am so excited!

First off, we are back under PCIA. After a foray out on our own, we have again joined forces with PCIA. Sharing resources and being a “sister” branch to such organizations as the State Wireless Association Program and the DAS Forum holds great promise for our membership and organization. We will be working toward co-hosting events, attracting membership and sharing ideas back and forth between all the PCIA-supported groups.

But more than that, I am excited by the possibilities that this year brings to the WWLF.

This year's Board of Directors (and an outstanding Board it is, I might add) has already been making big plans and setting into motion things that will renew our Education tract, bring in a larger membership base than ever before, recreate a more robust and user-friendly website, host events that are fresh and exciting and so much more. We will be targeting many of the women in the wireless industry that don't know the WWLF even exists and encouraging our existing membership base to mentor them.

Our agenda is broad and expansive. Our volunteers are many and willing. Our horizon is unlimited. Who wouldn't be excited by that?

So, I mean it when I say I can't wait to write next year's letter. For it will be full of this year's accomplishments. But it will also be also full of even more promise, as we are laying our foundation now for an organization that is strong and lasting. An organization that will touch the lives and careers of women throughout our industry.

Come join us.
